I just wanted to let everyone know that Channel 2 news came out and interviewed us about our experience with our sweet angel boy, Payton. At first I was fine with sharing our story with everyone, my first thought was "of course, I will do anything to help make people more aware when backing up. If we tell our story maybe it will help someone else not have to go through the same pain we did." Then, as it got closer to them coming for the interview, I started second guessing myself. "Do I really want to do this, it's not going to be easy, maybe I should call and cancel." Well, we ended up doing the interiew, and it went a lot better than I expected. It was still hard, very emotional, but in many ways therapeutic. Shauna Lake was the one who did the interview and she is very personable, nice, and easy to talk to. The interview lasted over an hour so I'm not sure what they're going to share on the news, or what direction they'll go with it. It's also about making people more aware of "spot the tot" a program that has been started to make people more aware of their surroundings when backing up, anywhere. So, we'll see.
The way I look at it is, this little boy has touched so many lives already, when he was here on earth and since he left this earth, so why not share his story and let him continue to touch people.
IT WILL BE AIRING ON TUESDAY, APRIL 29TH ON THE 10:00PM NEWS. I'm a little nervous to see it because when you all see it, it'll be my first time seeing it also.
Here's a picture I love of Payton, he just looks so sweet . It makes me think of him looking back at us to let us know he'll always be watching over us.

Kari told me the story about your little guy a year or so ago when I was back visiting my parents' ward in Utah, and it seriously just broke my heart, and Mike's too when I told him. She was very respectful in telling the story, and said how amazing you and Jeremy are. I'm genuinely so impressed with you and how you guys were able to pull through something like that. I wish I could be in Utah to see the news. Maybe I'll be able to see it on a news feed or something. Payton is a darling little boy!
Amanda, I am so proud of you. I know it took a lot of strength to do that. I know someone will watch it and be going through the same thing and seeing your strength will help them through there difficult time. Thank you and Jeremy for being such inspiring people to look up too, it's helped me in ways you probably will never know.

Amanda, I'm Marianne's friend-the one that was at lunch at the Pizza Factory.
I saw the news story, and I think I cried through the whole thing. I think that is so great that you shared your story with everyone. I can't imagine what you must have gone through-and continue to go through. You guys are such a great example!
WOW!! You both are so strong! I just watched the interview and you guys are amazing! I already knew that after meeting you for the first time at Enrichment night when I first moved into the ward. Payton is such a beautiful little boy! I think Beau looks just like him, they both are gorgeous! I am so glad that we can keep in touch this way now. It is so weird to see Bailey so old and grown up, she was just barely learning to walk while we were in the ward, she is gorgeous! I love your photography work, you are awesome.
