EXPRESSIONS!!!

Bailey has so many face expressions! She is seriously the most expressive little girl I know. She is super funny and mimics almost anything anyone does. Just had to share!!!

the stairs, the bruise, the boot!!!

Well, here it is! The nice stairs that I slipped on, I'm still not sure how I fell, besides the fact that my foot just slipped on the edge of the stair, I guess that's how.

I'm pointing to the nice bruise that I got on my arm from trying to grab the banister to the left in the picture (my right), which yep, I missed it and my arm just whacked the bottom of the banister which caused major pain, and a lot of crazy colors on my arm.

The beautiful ski boot that I get to wear for the next 4 weeks! AAARRRRRR!!! JOY!!!!!

Don't look if you have a weak stomach...

it's a close up of my bruised arm...

but this is what my bruise looks like, 6 days later. The colors just keep coming.

Crutches + snow + kids = Disaster

There won't be any pictures with this post yet! But soon enough!

So, 7am on Wednesday morning I was walking down the stairs with Beau and my foot slipped out from under me. I quickly tried to grab onto the banister on my right but couldn't get a grip and my left foot got caught underneath me, somehow, and I fell. My first thought was don't drop Beau, I don't want to fall on him, what do I do. So I did my best to throw my body backwards which caused me to fall on my left foot which was underneath me. Throughout the day it started to hurt more and more.
Finally I went in for some xrays, the doc said that he was 80% sure that I broke my foot and would need surgery but he needed a CAT scan to be 100% sure. Well, it was confirmed today that my FOOT IS BROKEN in not one but TWO PLACES. But GOOD NEWS is I don't need surgery. I just get to wear a nice big ski boot for 4-6 weeks and be on crutches, and carry two kids around, and finish Christmas shopping, and shoot weddings in the snow on ice in December. Okay, I'll stop I'm just feeling a little overwhelmed, but TIS THE SEASON!!

I do feel very lucky that Beau didn't get hurt, just a little scared, and that I didn't have anymore injuries. So, "there's always something to be thankful for."

Blog... What Blog??

Ok, so this post is for Marianne's comment. Ya, I just noticed that it's been a month, yep, ONE MONTH, since I last posted. Crazy how time flies!!! I have been super busy with family pictures and trying to get Christmas cards ready for everyone else, NOT MINE (hopefully I'll get one out this year) but all the cute families that have let me take their pictures. Everyone wants me to put some of my work on my blog. The reason I haven't is because I keep telling myself I'm going to start a photography blog but time just hasn't let me. I also keep telling myself that I'll have my website up by Christmas. So we'll see what comes first, my website, my photography blog, or a new post on my family blog. Well here's my new post so at least I'm making progress somewhere.

These are a few pictures of my friend Marianne who lives in Vegas. She was up for Thanksgiving and we had a fun, and cold shoot with her and her adorable boys. Her husband, Clint took one of us together too which was nice since I'm hardly ever in pictures anymore.

This is a card template I did this year!

ONE, TEWWW, TREE, JUMP!

There's the cutest girl in my ward that absolutely adores Bailey. She watches her for me twice a week for a couple hours. The other day I went to pick her up and I saw her jump off this ledge and disappear. I was a little confused. There's 4 girls in this family and they all just play with Bailey when she's at their house. They had piled up a ton of leaves and Bailey was jumping off into the leaves. They said she'd been doing it for the past hour. It was the cutest thing ever, she'd count slowly, ooonnneee, teeewwww, trreeee, jump, and then just jump off and land on her bum. I had to go home and get my camera she was having so much fun.

Here's Bailey and cute Marissa.

I had to get a few of Beau while I had the camera out, he liked it too.

Well he liked to eat the leaves.

My blue eyed boy is 6 MONTHS OLD!

I have been taking so many pictures of other people's kids and families in the fall leaves and finally decided it was time to take some of mine. Beau is 6 months old now and time has flown by. He is the happiest boy! He's sitting up now, rolling all around, and will probably be crawling before I know it. And........... HE SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!! YAHOOOOOOOO!

SO BIG!

I was putting Beau down for a nap this morning and came down and Bailey had climbed up in the rocking chair and was reading a book (well looking at the pictures) and it was so stinkin' sweet. She is growing up so fast and this just made her seem even more grown up.

Don't get mad, take pictures!

So I was in my bathroom blow drying my hair the other day and peeked out to check on Bailey, and this is what I found. She was sitting on my bed and had lotion all over her. Of course she had already had a bath, but soon needed another one. She's a busy little girl, but sure is cute!

Fishy, Ducky, Rooster, Chicken, whatever...

I didn't think it was that hard to tell what my kiddos were for Halloween, but for some it was. For the record Bailey was a super cute Goldfish, notice the big fish eyes on her head. Beau was an adorable Rooster.

He had a rough time sitting up by himself, I think the rooster head made him a little top heavy, so he found a cozy spot in the pumpkins.

I've never enjoyed taking pictures of more than one child, and this just reminded me why, especially when they're only 16 mths. apart and Bailey doesn't quite understand that she has to help Beau sit up, oh well.
I love this one, I always prefer close ups.
Yes, she was making her fishy face here, I can't believe I caught it!!!
This is Bailey and her cousin Sierra who is only 4 mths. older than her and she lives next door.

This is my niece Paige, she's 13 (I think) and absolutely loves Bailey. She was a Go-Go chic for Halloween.

P.J., P-Diddy, Peage, Payton...

I can't believe it's been 3 years since my sweet little boy returned home to his Heavenly Father. There are so many times that I think about what he would look like, what his personality would be like, and what he'd be into. But, that's kinda hard to think about sometimes. Instead I have to remember the 14 1/2 months that I was blessed with him here. We made so many memories in his short life on earth and I try to do my best to keep those memories alive.

Here's a few...

these first two pics are some of the last pictures I have

he let me dress him up as a cute little "Pooh bumble bee" for one halloween
he gave great kisses, especially to me!

he had a best friend and they looked like brothers, with their blue eyes and blonde hair

he had many cousins that loved him, this was at his 1st birthday
he made it to Disneyland and loved some of the rides, Winnie the Pooh and Peter Pan we rode more than once.

he could've passed as a clone to his DAD, look at those handsome boys

I am most of all grateful that our family is eternal, he makes us do our best every day.

We love you soooo much P.J. and miss you, but we know we'll be together again.

It's a magical place!

Disneyland that is...

So, we decided on Thursday morning (a week ago) that we were going to go to Disneyland with Jeremy's sister Laura's family, leaving Thursday night. Now I like to be spontaneous but driving 10 + hours in a car with 2 kids under 2 wasn't on the top of my list got up there when I decided I was in desperate need of a getaway. So my Thursday was crazy, doing laundry, packing, going up the canyon and hiking to do a photo shoot of a family in a gorgeous field on their horses, and trying to leave with my house clean. It's always nice to come home from vacation to a clean house, but that didn't happen.

Our friend's Pete & Misty decided to go with us, which was so much fun. We all drove to Las Vegas Thursday night, to break up the trip a little for the kids sake, and ours. We stayed at our friends house in Vegas, thanks Clint and Marianne, it was the best bed and breakfast ever. We had a crib for Beau, a comfy bed for us and Pancakes with fresh berries and bacon in the morning. You can't beat that. You guys are the best!

Anyway, we drove the rest of the way to Anaheim Friday morning and hit Disneyland and California Adventure for 2 days. It was sooo much fun and greatly needed with how busy I've been with weddings, families, and kids pictures lately. I just needed to get away so I didn't have to think about editing, cooking, cleaning, laundry, and everyday life stuff.

Us on the new Nemo submarine ride, it was pretty fun and
Bailey loved looking out the little window!

My happy BOY!!

I was a little too slow, a little too fast, too slow again, and not fast enough. So Bailey is on the Dumbo ride with Jer but yep, I didn't get a picture of her excited face. This is what happens with a little digital camera with a delay. I knew I should've taken my big camera, I just didn't think I wanted to lug it around since I knew I'd always have a baby, or a toddler in my arms, or pushing a stroller.

They we're both pretty beat, thank goodness for strollers, however you decide to fall asleep.

Bailey loved it and got so excited on every ride she went on. She danced in the streets, loved the horsies on the Carousel, and had fun shooting targets on Buzz lightyear with Jeremy. Beau, he just hung out in the Baby Bjorn, or in the stroller and was happy as can be. The car ride was a lot better than Jer and I expected, they were good for probably 80% of the time. I sat back with them for part of it but it all worked out great.

I'm so glad we went, it was our first family vacation with two kids and it was a BLAST!!!!

Amazed by you...

I loved taking these pictures of Bailey at 20 mths. old. Ya, I know that was almost 2 months ago and I'm barely sharing them. I was a little nervous to take pictures of her thinking I wouldn't get anything good because she's so busy. But, she came through and I got so many pictures of her I couldn't decide which ones to put on here. Honestly that's why it's taken me so long.

She amazes me everyday! I wake up every day wondering what she's going to do, learn, or teach me. Sometimes it's patience, sometimes it's to sit back, relax, laugh, and just slow down a little, and sometimes it's to give hugs and kisses to everyone, over and over and over again. She is growing up so fast and talking so much, it really does amaze me how fast these little ones learn and grow.
