Many people have asked how to get that "glow" from the lights on the tree!
#1 Turn off your flash (no flash used on the top picture, flash used on the bottom)
#2 Place your camera on a tripod
#3 Bump up ISO, Use a slow shutter, and open up wide
top picture - ISO 800, 1/3 sec at f/2.8, no flash
bottom picture - ISO 800, 1/60 sec at f/4.0

How FUN, Amanda! These are great pictures and the glowing lights on the tree looks so magical. Thanks for the tip on how to make that happen. Glad you had a great Christmas and your family room looks beautiful!
